A nerve conduction velocity (NCV) test, also known as an electroneurography, EneG, or nerve conduction study, is a measurement of the speed at which an electrical impulse passes through a neuron. Nerve injury and destruction can be detected with NCV. The nerve is stimulated during the test, generally with surface electrode patches placed to the skin. Over the nerve, two electrodes are inserted on the skin. The nerve is stimulated with a very modest electrical impulse by one electrode, which is recorded by the other electrode. Another electrode records the electrical activity that results. So stop by and give us a call at 9911306920.
